NEWS FROM THE BEAVERS

The district Carol Service in December was held in the warm and welcoming Church in Bush Hill Park.  The colony was well represented on this cold evening and the beavers joined in the carols with their usual gusto.

Our Christmas party was a fabulous joint evening witht the Cubs. A clever magician entertained the Beavers, Cubs and leaders alike with tricks and jikes, then it was on to feast which this year supressed all the others.  A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents who contributed food items for this sumptuous meal.

January was the district Domino Competition and our team of Jessica, Tasha, Karan and Rikki played really well.  The winners this year were the 18th Edmonton.

The Edmonton Swimming pool was the venue for the District 'Beaver Splash' and what fun we had. The beavers jumped on and slid down a huge inflatable boat, used giant floats and noodles and generally had a geat time.  From the comments of the adults who had to be in the pool with them, although exhausted, thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well.

Watch out for more fun and frolics to come.  Why not join us on one of these occassions.
