MY FIRST CAMP by Joe Genco
On Friday Night I traveeled to the camp site. When I got there, I unpacked my bags and laid my sleeping bag out. Next we put our wellies on and walked in the woods. When we got back, I watched a Madagscar film and then we went to bed.
On Saturday I woke up and had my breakfast. For breakfast I had cereal and eggy bread. Next we were gutting fish. Then we went bug hunting. I found a spider, a worm, a maggott, a snal and a slug. Next we made something out of bamboo sticks. On sunday we went rifle shooting and archery. We had very busy days and we all enjoyed ourselves. We palyed games with all of the leaders and I won a game.
All of the Leaders were very kind and helpful. For dinner I had hot dogs and chips. On Sunday, we had to come home at 3 o'clock. I had such a fun time, and I missed being there on monday. I would love to go cub camp again because I had a good time. All of the other children were very nice and friendly. I would like to say thank you to all of the leaders for making my trip a fun one.

Akela - What do I Pack for Camp?'

For a camp you will be sleeping in tents, so you will need to think about how to keep yourself warm and dry. You will probably not be too far from home so transporting your kit should not be too much of a problem.
For a pack holiday you will probably be going further away and will be sleeping indoors.
It is important that you know what you have in your kit, and make sure everything is labelled with your name. Whilst away your kit is your responsibility.
